Course Outline

Scuba diver demonstrating a hand signal

Your instructor will closely supervise you, and you should be paying close attention to him or her.

Most problems can be easily solved while underwater. Your instructor is trained to recognize problems, but you can also signal you have a problem to your instructor. Always remain calm, watch for directions from your instructor, and communicate with him or her to solve any problems should they occur. And try to always remember that as long as you have something to breathe, you can fix almost anything.
