Course Outline

Around the world, the majority of dives are conducted off a boat. These may be day charters and overnight charters. You may be going on a small rigid inflatable boat (RIB), a big dayboat, or a liveaboard boat. Be prepared, and make sure you have everything with you because there is no going back once the boat is heading out to sea!

Make sure:

  • Everything is in an excellent working condition.
  • Your cylinders are full.
  • Your equipment is marked because it may get muddled with other equipment.
  • Use a dive bag or fin bag for your accessories.
  • Take extra gear, for example, wind jacket, hats, refreshments, seasickness tablets, etc.
