Course Outline

As you did with the third confined water dive, practice swimming and ascending.

  • Swim around to continue becoming familiar with your equipment. Also pay attention to your body position to make sure you are swimming horizontally with no equipment dangling.
  • When you are ready to ascend:
    • Follow the procedures from the first dive to complete a controlled ascent.
    • Go slowly at a rate of 9 meters/30 feet per minute.
